Leggett & Platt has expanded its Comfort Core Line to bring four new models for its mattress line. The four models include the following names and types: Hi-Low, Combi- Zone, Quantum and Softech Mini. These models are supposedly more practical and affordable, but it provides the same quality and comfort as its other, more high-end types.
These new mattresses come with new coils which offers zoning option, delivering a more customized sleep. It also helps reduce cost of having manufacturers put in fill materials, which makes the bed more expensive.
According to one of its executive’s since “specialty sleep” is the latest trend in the industry the concept has yet to be fully grasped and embraced by consumers.
“Many consumers aren’t ready to make the plunge into a mattress wholly created out of materials like visco. They associate these beds with sleeping hot, responding too slowly to movements or being too costly.”
The new line has undergone rigid testing to see if the coils deteriorate and lose its firmness quicker than a full-foam mattress and the result is that the Comfort Core Line actually keep its shape and form longer than visco elastic mattresses.
