The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are reportedly now proud owners of a marital bed that is made with 4,200 springs. It’s said to be similar to the old bed William and Kate slept on in their Anglesey cottage, while the young couple were still a few months married. The cottage was rented, fully furnished, when the royals moved in.
The new marital bed, called the Natural 4500, is a luxury model from Healthbeds based in Rotherham. The store owner confirmed that the Duchess’ staff indeed asked for this bed, saying, “The Duchess loved the bed so much, apparently she looked under the mattress to find a label to discover where it was made.”
The store owner also said that this was an unusual order, “because the bed is bespoke and had to be enshrined in a four poster setting.”
The Natural 4500, aside from the massive spring count, is also made up of cashmere, silk, wool and cotton.
