There’s a mattress buyers guide book that is available at Amazon.com which has been written by Chuck Harmon, the owner and CEO of Charles C Harmon Co LLC.
The book discusses the “5 Fatal Mistakes People Make When Buying a Memory Foam Mattress”, where the author says, that most foreign pourd memory foam contains harmful and toxic materials such as formaldehyde and PBDE. These ingredients contribute to making the mattress smelly and hot, which increases the level of discomfort for people sleeping on them.
The author urges consumers to ask if the mattress is actually a foreign-poured foam, just to be sure.
Memory foams also perform better depending on the density. Some foreign-poured mattresses actually have clay additives in them, making them a bit more dense. But this is another mistake buyers don’t easily recognize until much later. The additives actually affect the mattress’ composition and feel, affecting the quality of sleep.
Buyers should also be aware of common business practices by many manufacturers, which is all outlined in the book.
