Better Sleep Council (BSC) has geared up fr a new campaign for this year, which is putting focus on an individual’s relationship with his or her mattress.
The campaign emphasizes on the danger of “sleeping around” and “cheating”, but in the context of having to steal a few shut-eyes at work, for example.
According to the BSC — “If you’re cheating on your mattress, you’re cheating yourself out of a better life.”
The site has a Facebook page that encourages people to submit photos or videos of themselves sleeping in places less than ideal, such as a work desk, or on a bus, or at a passenger seat of a car. The hope is to let people be aware that the best sleep is actually the one a person can get with their mattresses and that better sleep also helps improve the quality of life.
“Catch a family member sleeping in the car? A friend dozing off at a social event? The BSC wants to see it. Then we can remind them that they can avoid these situations by getting better sleep on a high-quality mattress and improve their short-term and long-term health.”
