In the past, mattresses were made very basic and simple. Springs and several cotton paddings were all it took to manufacture these. They were also priced a lot cheaper.
But over decades, it wasn’t easy to disregard how much mattresses have evolved, especially when most of these seem to promote wellness and proper sleep. On top of a highly commendable technology being used by almost all manufacturers today, such as the memory foam, you can now purchase different mattresses made from different materials. And their price range also vary.
The options are all there. But are these necessarily better than basic, traditional mattresses?
Considering that current mattresses sold in the market are designed and manufactured to follow strict government standards, then it’s fair to say that, yes…opting for newer mattress designs would be a better, healthier option.
More and more manufacturers today are also aware of doing away with synthetic or chemical raw materials use, which was very rampant in the past three decades, and on a broader scale, companies develop their new mattress line with proper studies and research.
The mattresses of today are really geared towards:
- improvement of sleep quality
- proper spine and back support
- safe and non-toxic sleep surfaces
- good value
- good quality
Thus, compared to what was made available in the past, modern sleep solutions are decidedly better today. Despite the fact that you may have to pay more for it, when it comes to sleep, you’re best paying premium than suffering each time you sleep.
