When it comes to design, suspended beds take high points when it comes to creativity. I personally am intrigued to see a bed that doesn’t have any foot or support from below and some people say it makes the room’s ambience feel a lot cooler and airy because of air can flow from top to bottom, uninterrupted. But it also makes me wonder if sleeping on it can be dizzying. Or if the bed’s balance can be compromised.
Hammocks are different because by design, they’re supposed to rock you to sleep and it’s ideally for resting only and not for sleeping for six to eight hours.
Couples do other activities in bed other than sleeping, if you know what I mean, and I wonder how that works out for them as well. I know one of the plus sides to having a bed without a base is that cleaning under it gets a lot easier. But….what’s the use of a clean bed space if you can’t really sleep on it?
Have any of you tried sleeping on a suspended bed? Are there advantages and disadvantages to it?
