Tempur Sealy Opens Largest Factory in Crawfordsville

Tempur Sealy recently revealed its largest project yet: a 700,000-square-foot factory in Crawfordsville, outside of Indianapolis. They've invested more than $138 million in this plant, showing a major step forward in their growth plans.

This new site is their third in the U.S. dedicated to foam production for mattresses. Its vast size sets it apart in the bedding industry. With 200 acres at its disposal, Tempur Sealy has the space to potentially double their output and even grow the facility to around 1 million square feet.

By 2025, they anticipate the factory will offer roughly 300 jobs, giving a big boost to local employment.

including Tempur Sealy's executive team and employees as well as local officials.

Scott Thompson, the company's CEO, spoke about the versatility in manufacturing and the broad spectrum of bedding products and components for both branded and non-branded operations.

Beyond business, Tempur Sealy is showing their commitment to the community. They've given a notable $500,000 to a nearby learning center and donated beds to multiple local charities. This emphasizes their aim to be community leaders, not just in business but in giving back as well. With this new facility, both Tempur Sealy and the Crawfordsville community stand to benefit greatly.
