0 Comments Published by Lilian March 29th, 2008 in Interesting Mattress, MATTRESS Shopping.
It’s the mattress that Hollywood stars prefer in the last 60 years. In fact, the company that has made this kind of mattress as also provided for White House bedrooms in the Reagan era.
This ultra plush feel results from the luxurious layers of natural fibers such as cashmere, wool and staple cotton that are layered into this bed. Addtitional layers of Talalay Latex and zoned, convoluted latex is used for additional comfort and unsurpassable support. The innerspring is an English nested coil unit, with over 880 encased coils to provide consistent, synchronized support throughout the entire sleep surface. No detail is left untouched in this bed, and even the cover is one of the finest Belgian jacquards available made from a blend of silk, cashmere, and wool. The mattress is supported by a fully-upholstered, self-welted 8-way hand-tied box spring.
The mattress goes for over $18,000 and is exclusive only to Bloomingdale’s.

Money Spent Wisely: Why you should always buy mattress new.
0 Comments Published by Lilian March 28th, 2008 in MATTRESS Shopping, MATTRESS Tips.
I know these days mattress purchase is like buying a second hand car or a really expensive gadget. But it’s always wise to invest in a new mattress, rather than scrimp on a used one.
For one thing….you’d probably have to get another mattress not long after. Do used mattresses have warranties? Not always and not especially.
Used mattress come with nasty bed bugs….if you buy these, expect to pay more than their worth for treatments and cleaning. Not to mention the fact that you may have to also pay for doctors treatment as a result of this.
Used mattresses have body imprints. As someone has already slept on it for two-three years, their mattress may have their body built cushioned already. You might not get the best support from it.
So, investing in a new mattress is the better way to go. It’s a more practical choice, in the long run.

1 Comment Published by Lilian March 22nd, 2008 in MATTRESS News, MATTRESS Shopping.Cleantech Blog has featured Keetsa mattress as its favorite green product of the week. The writer personally owns a Keetsa Plus, as shown here, and other than the comfort it provides she also says:
One of my favorite things about the Keetsa mattress is that they can be compressed and rolled into box – that means that while 140 conventional mattresses can fit on one truck, 540 Keetsa mattresses can fit in the same space.

Keetsa Mattress on The View
2 Comments Published by Lilian March 20th, 2008 in MATTRESS Business, MATTRESS News, MATTRESS Shopping.Apparently, Keetsa, the mattress store with a blog site running on the same network as Mattresszine, has been featured in the TV talk show, The View, the other day. According to the Groovy Vegetarian, the women of The View were discussing about companies embracing the green concept using regular household items in their products, and that Keetsa green-tea mattress was one of their featured items.

I failed to watch the episode but there’s a Youtube clip saved of it:
Incidentally, the store just opened another branch in Fairfield, California. It’s the store’s 2nd in what? Less than 9 months? Congratulations, Keetsa!
