Confused between sateen and satin sheets
0 Comments Published by Lilian May 20th, 2008 in MATTRESS Tips.
Sateen or Satin? Many people do get confused by this. Both are luxury bedding types, but which one is better and which one do you need? Here’s how to easily distinguish between a sateen and a satin:
Sateen is a very smooth material made from cotton. It’s used more popularly for bed sheets and feels cooler on the skin.
Satin is also a smooth material coming from either rayon, silk or nylon sources. It is characteristically shiny and would be best used for accents like pillows and throws.

Alexandra Jordan Goose Down Comforter
0 Comments Published by Lilian April 29th, 2008 in MATTRESS Accessories.
I’m told you can get luxury beddings at Alexandra Jordan for a wholesale price, so it should be worth checking out. The best thing is — they ship all over the world!
Alexandra Jordan is first and foremost a manufacturer of designer handbags but they do make 100% goose down comforters, they are in fact well-known for it.
They use 100% goose fill on their comforters, unlike some manufacturers who stuff and mix this with other materials to keep it heavy, but not exactly softer and better.
Our comforter’s are 700-750 Fill Power, some of the best in the industry. This means that our comforters are filled with some of the best quality down money can buy. A higher Fill Power means better, stronger, and larger clusters of Down. The higher the Fill Power, the better insulating power the comforter will have and the more durable the comforter will be. In fact, Down Comforters with higher Fill Powers such as ours, will last up to four times longer than comforters with lower Fill Powers (550 or less).
Their comforters are also hypoallergenic.

Trends in the industry
0 Comments Published by Lilian October 12th, 2007 in MATTRESS News, MATTRESS Shopping.
Forbes Magazine reports that design polarization is one of the latest trends in the industry today. When it comes to bedding, bed accessories and mattress purchases, consumers are now given plenty of options by stores selling lower-end with very creative designs. It could be a great thing for consumers, but not so much for luxury companies.
