A local TV affiliate from ABC ran this story around myths with mattress purchases and care, and how each consumer should be wise enough to know them. The feature summed up the myths into three kinds:

1) how the type of mattress affects comfort level.

2) the presence of dust mites in the mattress

How Can We Save On A Mattress Purchase?

With so many options of mattresses to choose from, the possibility of purchasing the wrong kind of mattress for our use is greater. We could end up buying a mattress we don’t really need, because it’s either 1) what we hear and see most often from television; 2) what we read about; 3) or what our friends have been raving about.

Study Shows: Pets on the bed is harmful to health

Cozying it up with your furry pets on the bed can be harmful to your health, according to a study done by researchers from the University of California-Davis veterinary school.

And it’s all because a lot of diseases can be easily transmitted when you and your pet are this cozy with each other. Some of these disease can be life-threatening. Although Bruno Chomel, a professor from the said university says, “The risk is rare, but when it occurs it can be very nasty, and especially in immuno-compromised people and the very young.”
