Flannel sheets for the winter
In the colder regions of the world, winter is fast approaching. And very soon, it would once again be time for for people to check their linen closets or go shopping for the most suitable bedding sets.
However, some sheets are better than others as some get easily worn out. It would be a great idea to have at least a couple of luxury bed sets. Admittedly, luxury bedding can strain the budget. But in the long run, you will appreciate the investment.
Before purchasing the sheets, however, you need to carefully check them. Hold these up against the light. You know the sheets can be too thin, and therefore not the best quality, when light passes through it. Thicker sheets mean more thread count. The higher the thread count is, the better the quality of the sheets are.
Flannel sheets are best for cold climates as they provide the best comfort. Flannels are defined as:
warm fabric of various degrees of weight and fineness, usually made from loosely spun yarn. Flannel is a light-to-medium weight woven cloth commonly used to make clothing and bedsheets. It was originally made from carded wool, but is now often made from either wool and cotton, or wool and synthetic fibre. (Wikipedia)
