To hide box springs, which may become a possible decorating eyesore, accessorize with a bed skirt in colorful and bright patterns or a style to match your preference. But before you head to the store and buy your bed skirt set, here are some things you should take note of first:
Know the length, width and the distance of your mattress from the floor to the box spring’s top. Bed skirts usually are standard 15″ in length but you might be needing something deeper.
Color brightens up the room, but using light colors for bed skirts may still allow the box springs to seep through the light, then it would be no use covering it.
Use chenille or velvet so the skirt won’t look heavy. With it, you can use light colored velvets
Coordinate the fabric and colors you choose to the whole look of the room
