Shopping for Twin Mattresses

by Lilian on Sunday, September 30th, 2007

Twin mattress, or the single bed, is best suited for a child’s bedroom or the extra room in your house. Its regular size is usually 75 inches by 39 inches, but as with most mattress, they come in a variety of designs and prices.

The size of a twin mattress is like a double edge sword — you get both the good and the bad. It’s small enough to fit most rooms in the house, and still leave enough space for extra furniture. It’s also the perfect mattress for bunk beds, mostly found in children’s room.

However, a twin mattress may be too small or too short for adults. If you have a guest in the house sleeping in the spare room, the twin mattress may, over time, become too uncomfortable.

In buying a twin mattress, consider where and what you will need it for. For a child’s bedroom, it’s an easy choice. But if you intend to purchase this for the guest bed, then you might want to consider other options.
