Mattress Myths
THE HARDER THE MATTRESS, THE BETTER
In today’s lifestyle, people prefer a mattress that conforms and properly supports the body, so they naturally have to be softer than firmer. Firm mattresses are good for stomach sleepers, to prevent the person’s back from arching down. The truth is really….what makes the mattress better depends on what your sleep preference is. Test the mattress before purchasing. If possible, do all kinds of sleeping position to see if you’re comfortable with it.
MODEL UNITS ARE DIFFERENT FROM WHAT IS ACTUALLY SOLD
It may surprise you to know that some stores do not display the best mattresses they have for customers, to preserve the quality of the mattress. Ask assistance from the sales people, ask questions to be better informed and ask to test a mattress on stock (if possible) before buying.
MATTRESS WARRANTY DEFINES HOW LONG A MATTRESS SHOULD LAST.
Warranties are actually for defects, not on how long a mattress should serve you with its best years. Most warranties are between 8-10 years. No one can determine how long a mattress should stay useful because it depends on a lot of factors like activities you do in bed, personal care, the owner’s weight, among other things.
