Take your time with mattress shopping

by Lilian on Friday, November 9th, 2007

Some people make the mistake of buying their mattress on whim, not realizing that shopping for one is actually an “experience”. It’s the best way you can get value for your money. Mattress stores will always have wide selections of mattress choices. Taking your time in picking out one is necessary. You don’t want to be stuck with an uncomfortable mattress for a great number of years.

Don’t just be limited to bouncing the mattress with your hand or sitting on the edge of it, to know if it’s soft enough. Ask that you be able to lie on the bed to check on the quality or firmness of the mattress against your weight and body. If the mattress store doesn’t give you this pleasure, take your money elsewhere.

Make sure that while you’re testing out mattresses, you have comfortable clothes on. And don’t go mattress shopping when you are super tired. Because if that’s the case, all mattresses you test will feel very good to you.
