The best type of futon cover is actually dependent on what your lifestyle needs are. For families with kids and pets, they need a different type which can be broken down into three types:

• Faux Suedes (which sometimes has microfibers) - this is the most preferred choice by parents. Faux suede is so easy to clean, so if a child or a dog messes it up with dirt, blotching it would be quick. Faux suedes are also washable and they dry faster. With microfiber, it’s triple times more durable.
• Denim covers - denim material is also durable. It’s also casual looking so it’s great for play rooms.
• Vinyl - sometimes passes of as looking like leather, if you want something fancy. As with faux suedes, it’s easily cleaned and maintained by wiping off with a clean rug or paper towel.
