Be Allergy Proof for Fall

by Lilian on Saturday, September 6th, 2008

mattres_protector_large_large The fall season is already here and for some homes, this signals the inevitable — allergy attacks. As soon as the heaters are turned, they slowly blast away allergens that may have settled on the bedding and the carpet over the summer. It’s high time to allergy proof the home. And how does one do this in the bedroom?

Pillow and mattress encasements are very essential right now, as they have allergen barriers that work to filter dust and other triggers. Look for encasements made of cotton fabric as these are best providers of cool comfort as well as breathability. You will get lots of good sleep with this.

Allergens are microscopic and are dust borne. Frequently replacing sheets on the bed and cleaning the mattress isn’t only for effective maintenance, but this is also tantamount to good health and hygiene.

There are over a million allergy sufferers in the US alone. Doing necessary steps to prevent triggers starts with the self.
