Your mattress and pillows are causing your back problems

As you should know, a great amount of our time is spent on bed. And if you’re finding yourself waking up sore everyday, the sagging mattress and old pillows you have on your bed may be causing it.

Mattress that are super soft puts a lot of strain on the muscles. On the other hand, a very firm mattress can also hurt your spine. Additionally, if you enjoy sleeping with too many pillows or very little of it, this too can affect your body’s condition.

So how do you correct that?

One thing you can do is to make adjustments to your bed. Remove all those pillows and only keep enough to let you sleep comfortably. If you prefer to sleep on the side, one pillow wedged between your knees is enough. If you love sleeping on your back, support this with a pillow under your knees. Consider a long body pillow for balance and alignment.

Add a sheet of plywood between your bed frame and the mattress to provide extra support. Buy a mattress remedy, such as the Mattress Genie. Maybe you need a mattress topper? Try exploring that option. And if needed, replace your mattress with one that is just right for you body.
