New England mattress manufacturer Therapedic has issued a recall of its twin and full size mattresses, as it has not been able to meet the flammability standards. Because of this, the mattresses are considered potential fire hazards that could harm its users. Consumers are advised to dispose of this, if they own one, and seek a solution from the company.
Therapedic is addressing all consumer concerns regarding this mattress recall and the public is advised to contact their New England office. Owners will apparently be mailed mattress covers to cover their Therapedic mattresses with it. Once covered, the mattresses should already in compliance with the flammability standards.
Over 3,700 unit of the mattress were sold. The models are its Comfort Deluxe and Comfort Supreme mattresses, which were all manufactured last year. Consumers are also advised that it will be illegal to sell their used mattress, especially the ones that have a recall order.
