SVDP Sets Up Mattress Recycling Program
St. Vincent de Paul Society of Lane County (SVDP) based in Oregon, has established a mattress recycling program facility in California believing that the progressive state may be interested in this waste-management solution.
Disposed mattress amount to about 350,000 yearly and with this facility, SVDP can recycle about 200 mattress a month. These are mattresses that they can resell for cheap or donate to low-income families.
SVDP is a non-profit humanitarian organization that provides housing and care to many individuals, as well as the preservation of the quality of life and the environment.
