Salvation Army gets Mattress Donations

by Lilian on Friday, February 1st, 2008

The Salvation Army has received a substantial donation of cash from mattress purchases made at the Denver Mattress Company. The mattress company awarded $176,000 to them, during the promo they ran in December. For every mattress they sold, $20 will go to the Salvation Army.

“The Salvation Army is extremely grateful for this very special gift from Denver Mattress Company’s Operation Rest Assured campaign,” said Lt. Col. Raymond Peacock, divisional commander of the Salvation Army, Intermountain Division. “This gift will provide shelter to the homeless, feed the hungry, tutor at-risk kids in our after school programs and help families transition out of homelessness. Lives will be changed throughout the Metro Denver community.”
