More than 10,000 mattress for recycling have been collected all over Sydney by the residents of Seven Hills in Blacktown Australia, making their efforts at mattress recycling a certified success.

According to the head of WSN’s Environmental Solutions, “By recycling mattresses, we can recover resources like coil springs that can be melted down and on-sold to manufacturers, wood to make biofuels and foam to make carpet underlay. Recycling 10,000 of these mattresses also means that we are saving thousands of cubic metres of airspace in landfill.”
