Superbowl Greats, the New York Gians, are apparently dealing with a lot of sleeping problems and the company blames their bunk beds at the training camp for it.
The problem with this bed? It’s a bit tiny and the athletes on this team are, well…giants. There have been numerous injuries according to them. Will Beatty, Marvin Austin, James Brewer, Martin Parker and Terrel Thomas have had back problems ever since they stayed in the camp.
Says one player, “Every bed is small. You can’t put a damn dinosaur in a twin-sized bed … all the beds, unless you got a California king, the beds are going to be small to these guys. If a normal-sized human jumps into a regular-sized bed, it fits perfectly. A large big human jumps into a regular-sized bed, the bed is too small.”
The players say the mattresses are perfectly okay. It’s the bed that really is causing the trouble. They say it’s meant for college-type situations, not pro athletes. Many of them actually sleep in a California King size bed with all the comfors and accessories.
Will the management do something about this? Time and again, it’s been said that athletes do need to sleep in a comfortable environment for them to get better at what they do.
