Mattress Without Frames

Keetsa Mattress CloudSometimes I’ve been considering doing away with the bed frame or foundation and just keeping the mattress plopped over the floor, Japanese style. But I realize that leaving just the foam without any support is a bad idea. All the weight pushing down on it, with only the floor for support and not the bed base? It quickly contributes to the mattress’ deterioration and firmness.

It’s also an unhealthy practice. So close to the floor, which can be colder, the temperature may also contribute to the build up of dust and pollen in the mattress. It may seep through the material and I may end up getting allergies and skin irritation.

That’s a food for thought to remember, in taking care of your mattresses.
