The Chairman and CEO of bedding company, Kingsdown, Mr. Eric Hinshaw has been honored with the Top Business Leadership Award from Elon University.

Mr. Hinshaw has been CEO of the company since 1981 and has helped it expand from a small mattress company to the top 10 bedding producer with worldwide facilities.

The School of Business selects the recipient of the Frank S. Holt, Jr. Business Leadership Award based on several criteria. Not the least of those criteria is the extent to which the recipient has character and stature such that his or her selection is a credit to the memory of Frank Holt, Jr., a local business leader known for both his business acumen and his civic engagement,” says Mary Gowan, Dean of the Love School of Business. “The 2009 recipient, Eric Hinshaw, exemplifies those same qualities.
