Jet Blue Airways has began selling blankets and pillows to its passengers for $7 since August as opposed to giving this away for free when flyers request it. This move is to cover cost and to drive revenue up.

These sleep companions aren’t the usual pillows and blankets you find in airplanes, which may be germ infested because it is passed on from passenger to passenger. Instead, these are brand new, high quality, eco-friendly types of pillows and blankets provided by Bed, Bath & Beyond.

Passengers now have the option to bring their own travel blankets and pillows or purchase the ones available at  Jet Blue Airways.
