Easy Rest Mattress Recall

Easy Rest Inc. has issued a recall of some 3,800 of its classic foam core mattress as these have been found to fail with meeting the flammability standards. The recall is in line with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) orders, which serves to protect consumers from faulty products.

There have been no cases of injuries or deaths reported with use of this mattress, however, the company deemed it would be best to issue the recall to be on the safe side.

The mattress was sold at an affordable price under $200 beginning September 2011 at the company’s furniture stores in these areas: Ariz., Ark., Calif., Colo., Fla., Idaho, Ill., Ohio, Ore., Utah and Wash. The mattress was either sold as is (with just the foam) or with a foundation and the following specific model or lot numbers are supposed to be returned:
