Ever wonder why there’s so many mattress stores and choices out there? You might think it’s just a bed or that there isn’t anything more simpler than a bed purchase but as it has been shared in this site so many times — different types of bed work for different types of people. So we’ve got piles and piles of mattresses all with different features, as well as a number of stores selling or not selling one type of feature.

Here’s what Mattress Barn, a company in the mattress business for over 23 years, has to say about that:

Todd O’Hagan has been selling mattresses for 15 years. And he has learned a basic truth: Different consumers need different beds. One size does not fit all in the world of mattress retailing.

“There is no best bed for everybody,” O’Hagan said the other day at the Mattress Barn store here, where he is the manager. “If there was, we wouldn’t need 50 beds on our floor.”
