Bed bunks for South Africa

Here’s the solution to living space situation in South Africa — bed bunks stacked over each other, like apartment buildings.

The bed accommodates single mattresses each and when not in use as a sleeping space it could be a seating option, much like sofas. An orphanage in Wellington, South Africa already makes use of this.

The design idea won the Red Dot Award last year.
