Bed Bug Sniffing Dogs

imagesCA2FW4ON Beagles in a small apartment complex in New Haven are making themselves tons more useful to homeowners. They’ve become bed bug sniffers. They send off warning bells that basically prevents the spread of these pests in the complex, a 16-storey building.

“What the dogs are doing is they’re detecting the bedbugs very early on before the people even know they have them. By doing that, we’re able to treat before the problem is large. When it’s still isolated and the problem is resolved much faster with less disruption to people’s lives,”

As soon as the beagles detect the problem, apartment owners then call the exterminator to get rid of the bugs.
