According to this story, a number of bargain mattresses  have turned up in Clark County which have been advertised as new mattresses. As a result, several cases of bed bug infestation have been found and were proven that the mattresses condition (as second-hand) was not disclosed when it went on sale.

This is a big red flag to consumers who may have been duped into getting bargain mattresses. While this is allowed in some states, the sellers are supposed to disclose fully the condition of the mattress they put on sale.

The story goes on to say the following:

Mattress sellers are looking to cut bottom lines in a tight retail market, which means buying cheaper mattresses from wholesalers and — knowingly or unknowingly — selling used products. At the same time, consumers are looking for discount mattresses and finding deals aren’t really bargains at all.
