A bed and shelter for the homeless

by Lilian on Tuesday, August 28th, 2007

Whatever happened to this one I wonder? Does it still exist or have the city scrapped the idea?

In 2004, Sean Godsell spearheaded a project in Melbourne, to benefit the homeless. He installed a shelter by the street, specifically by the bus stops where one could find a bed with woven steal mattress and blankets.

Sean Godsell has also designed other shelters made of park benches and shipping containers for the homeless in his city. You can check his work by visiting his website.
