Flexibile and Modular Teen Bedding Furniture
The designer to these frames, Mukul Mandey from India, had one thing in mind — to provide students with a bedroom lifestyle that adapts to their whims and fancies.
Originally three pieces of furniture or three modular units, these can be made into
- three study tables to work with a laptop or while on a group study
- a comfortable chair or
- a single bed.
The three identical modular units can be used straight up or upside down, with ample storage at the bottom. A simple key-hole detail on each leg attaches or detaches the units. The removable trays at the bottom of each unit enable the user to make herself comfortable in the concavity of the unit; an ideal position to relax, read or work on the laptop. Taken separately, the three units transform into chairs with the slats providing comfortable seating. A good idea for a gathering of friends, where one of the units acts as the centre table. The use of natural wood, some exposed bolts – the bed becomes an attractive and eye – catching furniture that scores high on aesthetics also. Modular units mean easy stackability also, with the bottom trays removed.
