Getting Rid of Bed Bugs

Those tiny creeping bugs are hardly seen by the bare eye yet they attack unsuspecting victims so aggressively. Although they are not carriers of deadly diseases, finding them on your mattresses can be discomforting. So, how do you get rid of bed bugs?

First, it’s good to understand that getting rid of bed bugs is a process and must require patience. The most effective way of dealing with these pest is seeking the help of a professional pest control agency. They have the right tools, chemicals and equipment to handle this. So, you may also require a budget set aside.

But if this isn’t in your immediate plans, you can do a quick-fix:

  • Change your sheets at least every two weeks or more often
  • Air out your mattress once a month
  • Flip your mattress regularly
  • Vacuum your mattress
  • Don’t get to bed if you haven’t been cleaning yourself up
  • Avoid eating on the bed
  • No pets on the bed
  • Buy insect powders or sprays, but make sure that the chemicals are not harmful to the rest living in the house with you, including pets.
