The Sleep Adjustment Bed called iSleep

by Lilian on Sunday, September 14th, 2008

It seems that anything fancy to own begins with the small letter “i” in it. We have the iPod and the iPhone, for example. These gadgets aren’t really ordinary and some consider these as most coveted items.

We also have the iSleep, which doesn’t really come from the same company, but just the same — it has extra-ordinary features and may be one couple would want to aspire to own.

The iSleep is the kind of mattress that offers individualized comfort no matter if two people share the same bed. It’s quite a known fact that even if two people share the same bed, their sleep preference differ. Sometimes this is an issue couples have to compromise.

With an iSleep though, these issues are resolved. On both sides, firmness, warmness and pressure relief may be adjusted, depending on one’s preference.

My husband and I purchased this bed recently. It was TERRIBLE! On top of being outrageously expensive, it is little more than two inflatable rafts stuffed between several layers of padding. The website boasts that the mattress is padded with “memory foam”; however, once you open the bed and actually take a look at the foam, you quickly realize that the foam is nothing close to tempurpedic or other well-known memory foams. Also, the customer service is bad, they charge $400 to return the mattress, and the freight company that delivers the bed, ABF, is always unreliable and late. I waited 4 hours after my 2-hour window delivery time, and while returning the bed, they again missed their window by an hour. DO NOT fall for the advertising! This bed is certainly not worth the price!

Interesting comment. My experience has been very different. I find it interesting that Iris spend 1/2 her complaint about the freight company.
As for my experience. I got a queen size bed several years ago. It has been FANTASTIC! Better than the well known sleep number bed. The “inflatable rafts” as Iris calls them have polymer coils in them that prevent it from acting like an air pad, balloon, or raft (unlike the other bed). The memory foam works great and is not too deep that I have to climb out of it when I roll over in bed. I never have to worry about my feet getting cold in the winter because of the zoned heater. Customer Service has been great – my side of the bed got punctured and they replaced it according to warranty.
My wife and I love this bed!!!
In fact, we wanted to change to a King size bed a couple of years back and decided to try a sleep number bed. That one was terrible. It felt like we were sleeping on a balloon. If one of the kids got onto the bed it would pop up on the other side. We ended up returning it and got back into our queen size I-Sleep.

PS – Iris – I have worked with many freight companies and have never know any of them to be “on time”.
