The cheapest kind, for twin bedding, is priced at $16.99 while it’s most expensive at under $30 for California king size mattresses.

The waterproof mattress pad is has a flannelette which is also reversible and if needed, washable with regular laundry soap and water.

This is only a topper, with straps to hold it in place but it is not something that will cover the entire mattress.
