While there are new mattresses already made and sold with a completely waterproof surface, other people still prefer remaining comfortable with traditional designs, with “waterproof” only as an option.

To keep liquids from spilling on the bed, though, extra protection must still be taken to care for it; and this is is why we recommend getting a reusable waterproof underpad for mattresses that do not have any waterproof feature.

What’s better is that this can be removed at anytime for washing (many times over).
