Most cribs, beds and mattresses are shaped as rectangular. It’s the most common one. Round cribs are probably borne out of the need to stand out and be different from the common design. But that doesn’t necessarily mean they are better.

A round bed or mattress may look nice, but finding the right linens for it may be limiting.

Function and safety must still dictate your choice for sleeping, especially with children and toddlers. With them, parents must not try to be persuade by design. Stick with what is common.
