Holiday Travelers’ Sleep Safety Advice

by Lilian on Friday, December 21st, 2007

Aside from this earlier warning from the CPSC regarding allowing little children to sleep on an air mattress, below are some more safety sleep advice that will benefit you as you head home for the holidays.

Have kids sleep in their own mattress. Adult mattress for young children and babies can suffocate them. The could fall between the mattress and the bed frame, if you are not careful. If you are co-sleeping, have a look at these guidelines from author Elizabeth Pantley.

If you have had too much to drink at christmas parties, don’t have an infant sleep beside you.

Double check your baby’s crib, bassinets, bedrails and playpens. Make sure that they meet the  safety standards.

Doing all of these will ensure a safer and more enjoyable holiday season for you and your kids.
