Dust mites? They are not only found in mattresses. They could be everywhere. So it’s imperative that you keep your not only your bedroom clean, but your whole house, too.
Dust mites are found in rugs, pillows, covers blankets and even toys. They hate the sun so they thrive on shaded areas. But they also live in places with high humidity. Making sure that the items just enumerated are washed and cared for properly. Washing with hot water helps sanitize it. Or alternatively, you can use cold water but add a dab of tea tree oil. This is especially good for those suffering from allergies. Avoid thick carpeting. Refrain from using heavy drapes, too. If you have this at home, make sure to vacuum frequently.
