The Sleeping Bag That’s Also A Sofa

Ms. Hornig, who is born in Austria and has had work in Milan, calls this bed the Camp Daybed and it even comes up with a number of other bedroom furniture that completes the look and feel of a teenagers bedroom. Her work and creations are mostly modernistic and very trendy. You can check her portfolio here.

Mattresses As Chairs

It’s interesting how creative designers’ mind work, especially when they redesign and repurpose a familiar piece and come up with something truly exceptional.

Take this case of the Roulade Armrest from a company called KiBiSi. Instantly, you know that you’ve seen this before. The chair will automatically remind you of a mattress, only it’s rolled up to form a suitable seating area. The chair, however, isn’t an actual mattress. But the designer has taken the idea from it.

The Ryan Gosling Body Pillow

It doesn’t have to be lonely and cold this Valentine’s Day, even if you’re a single girl who has made it her choice to be without a companion for a while. Especially not if you have this Ryan Gosling body pillow to keep you warm.

Aqua Bed Warmer For Non-Electric Heater Blanket

In this freezing cold weather, having a heated blanket is more than a convenience. It’s a necessity. However, not many people are sold on an electric heated blanket because of the possible risks. And while there are only few reported accidents involving this, some consumers would definitely choose to be safe than sorry.

The Reinvention of the Tempur Mattress

Tempur-Pedic, now called Tempur-Sealy, has been around for 20 years and in line with its celebration, the brand has updated its line of mattresses with the help of the design firm IDEO. According to the company’s Senior VP for Marketing, Patrice Varni, the collaboration with the IDEO is a way for bringing forth and improving form and function to its line. The reinvented collection, “brings even more famous Tempur comfort, body-adaptive support, and cool and convenient features that consumers really love.”

Privacy Pop Tent

Looking at this oddly designed tent bed reminds us of caravans from the 19th century. But past or present, the idea behind this creation is to bring privacy into one’s sleeping area…that is, if having a bedroom isn’t enough privacy. (So, maybe you’re sharing it with someone, like in a dorm room?)

The Mattress Masseuse

It’s very common for people to get massages at home these days. But sometimes it’s quite uncomfortable to be lying down on the massage table. Personally, I prefer getting a home massage while settled on my own bed. But it also poses some problems, particularly with the neck and head part, where I sometimes have to lie down uncomfortably.

Best Things To Do With Mattress Scraps

Mattresses from the 60’s through the 70’s and 80’s were built with bulky springs that are no longer useful today. Because technology has advanced, mattress springs work differently now. Disposing of these outdated mattresses, however has become a problem in landfills because mattresses designed from those decades have parts do not easily degrade.
